Le Nozze di Figaro

  • Norwalk Concert Hall (map)

I am beyond exited to be singing my first Figaro in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro this May with the Norwalk Symphony. Nozze was one of the first operas I ever was in and that was years ago and I sang Dr. Bartolo instead. Figaro has always been a bucket-list role for me. He is one of operas most charming and appealing men and is a rare 'Normal Guy'. The musical merit of the role is just as great, with 3 memorable arias and many beautiful moments. There is a brief moment in Act IV before Figaro confronts Susanna in the garden when he sings the words 'Tutto è tranquillo e placido, entrò la bella Venere col vago Marte prendere nuovo Vulcan del secolo in rete la potrò!' that is is especially beautiful.
